​18 students from the Foreign Language and Tourism Department majoring in Tourism English worked as English tour guides for foreign visitors during the Bo’ao Forum for Asia 2017 Conference from March 23-26.

There were a total of 210 volunteers from HNCST participating in this event. Some of them worked in hotels hosting the event providing reception service, room service and food & beverage service, while others worked as tour guides and traveling consultants at scenic spots popular with visitors.

All of the 18 volunteers from the Foreign Language & Tourism Department worked as English tour guides in the three major reception spots for the event: Longshouyang National Agriculture Park, Bo’ao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone and Bo’ao Seaside Bar Park. Along with experienced government affairs guides, they introduced these places to visitors and answered their questions.

“Tourism English students from HNCST are very professional in explaining these places to us and we are thankful for their service,” one of the visitors to Longshouyang National Agriculture Park said.
